PARISIAN BEDDING for GIRLS

Canvas Folding Photo kids Eiffel Tower Room Divider bedroom
$12 off orders over $300 at Overstock.com (electronics and media excluded)

I keep going back to Eiffel Tower bedding and bedroom decor in my search for Parisian bedding for girls over and over again. Why? Well, because if a more sophisticated style of decor exists for a teen girl's bedroom than a Parisian theme with a famous French landmark smack dab in the middle of it...well, I just haven't seen it.

For pre-teens or tweens, a splash of French poodles, rhinestones in shades of pink is PERFECT. I love pink and black in a Paris theme bedroom because this color scheme is so feminine and is quite the fashion for today's diva girl. And we all know that fashion and style is what Paris, France is all about!

So, grab a set of Eiffel tower bedding (or if you are having to work with what you have this photo room divider will take care of what your comforter set doesn't cover) your French poodle and beret and experiment with decorating your French themed bedroom with Parisian bedding for girls.

We have recently picked up some chic, French teen bedroom ideas that any mother will love for several reasons. The first reason that these tips are so attractive and appealing is that they are so cute.

The second reason is that they are in the preferred Paris bedroom color palette of pink and black with a smattering of aged white thrown in for good measure. The third and perhaps the best reason of all is that our suggested items in bedroom decor perfect for a French theme are CHEAP!

It's a sad fact of life that many moms learn only after buying expensive French bedroom furniture for teens that their teenage girls haven't quite gotten around to appreciating the finer things in life and can't understand why French Provincial decor and nail polish remover don't mix. This is why our French teen bedroom ideas focus either on inexpensive pieces that won't break a mother's heart or decorating with shabby chic furniture and decor that are already distressed to the point that a little more abuse won't make a bit of difference.

We have discovered that the teens and tweens in our decorating experience showed a distinct preference for French bistro decor. Imagine a room decorated in pink French poodles, images of the Eiffel Tower and furniture that might have come from a sidewalk cafe or ice cream shop and you will get an idea of how to decorate a French bistro theme bedroom.

French teen bedroom ideas for this style won't require that you throw out the shabby chic Parisian apartment furnishings and decor. Instead, just dress it up with funky lampshades, drawer pulls and vintage pictures of French poodles and Eiffel Tower posters. If your teenage girl accidentally finds out how little you paid for her French bedroom decor and feels cheated because her bedroom makeover was so cheap, C'est la vie!

Don't leave Tween and Teenage Girls Bedding Sets, French Teen Bedroom Ideas and Decor without taking a look at our many recommendations for decorating in a pink French Poodle theme.

PARISIAN STYLE SHOWER CURTAIN

I recently decorated a Paris style bedroom for a teen and had to look for some Parisian style shower curtains to use in the tiny adjoining bathroom. Decorating the small space was going to be a challenge. And the way it opened into the girl's Paris theme bedroom was going to give a full view of whatever style shower curtain we chose.

At one point I made the suggestion that an extra set of sheets that matched her Eiffel Tower bedding set be bought specifically to make a fabric shower curtain using my discontinued Butterick #0514 shower curtain pattern. To be sure that this was a good decorating idea, I had the teenage girl and her mother hold the flat sheet up so I could get a good look only to find that the print of the fabric was too bland. From the bedroom, it just looked dull.

We decided to mix it up a bit and used one of the vintage shower curtains with Paris themes that I had used in a shabby chic Parisian influenced bedroom a while back. I had not realized how truly versatile this Paris style shower curtain truly was until I took a second look. It had already proven its worth in the shabby chic Parisian apartment bathroom and now seemed the best choice to go with this bedroom without the first picture of the Eiffel Tower!

In fact, I bought two extras while I could get my hands on them. The fabric shower curtain featured vintage fashion models, high heels and purses that I had somehow neglected to remember. This unique Parisian style shower curtain has excellent possibilities for decorating a high heel and purses style of decor and I can't wait to try it out. But first, we have to see if it will fit in this small bathroom.

So what if you don’t have a room with a view. Eiffel Tower wall stickers can take the place of a picture window looking down on the cherry blossoms of Paris in springtime until you can book a flight and enjoy the real thing.

Large, easy to use vinyl decals are the perfect option for creating inexpensive bedroom decor to compliment your Eiffel Tower bedding set if you are renting, decorating while temporarily stuck in a college dorm room or if you like to update your room on a regular basis. If you find yourself feeling a little too crowded stuck in a small space with a giant national Parisian landmark on the wall by your bed simply peel the appliques and clings off the wall and roll them up for storage. That’s the beauty of peel and stick; easy on and easy off.

So long as you store your removable, vinyl Eiffel Tower wall stickers in a safe place they will be ready and waiting for the day that you want a touch of gay Paris in your bedroom décor once again. Another useful application for your decals would be as additional decorations for an Eiffel Tower Party . Your Eiffel Tower wall decals will go a long way towards setting the stage at a prom dance, graduation party or even a Parisian baby shower. You can bring them out of storage and use your reusable clings to decorate and when the party is over, roll them up and put them away until their services are necessary once again.

Some teenage girls might balk at the idea of
Eiffel Tower bedding a the leading and that has anything less than a sophisticated color scheme. Without a doubt, black and white may be the way to go, but what colors should be used as accents? What colors are associated with all things Parisian?

Pictures of the Eiffel Tower are very popular elements in Pink poodle and Eiffel Tower bedding for Paris baby girl nursery themes. For that reason, you might expect your young lady to dismiss your teen bedroom decorating ideas that include your beloved poodle dog, FiFi, with her fur dyed a tasty pastel pink as an acceptable style of Paris decor for her room.

As we mentioned previously, black and white Eiffel Tower bedding would be ideal and very easily accessorized in the bargain. The monochromatic fabric will make your job of picking decorations for the rest of the room extremely easy. Lipstick red, electric blue or even lime green will work with the scenery of the most famous landmark of Paris in the background.

If the room begins to take on a look that you feel is too mature for a young girl, fluff things up a bit. Nothing says tween or preteen like a bright red faux fur area rug on the floor and funky, fur accent pillows for the bed.

The key to successful Parisian decor using Eiffel Tower bedding as a focal point is to keep the color scheme simple. Choose three main colors and make a solemn vow not to venture beyond those restrictions. Your teenage girl will be delighted at the level of sophistication that you have allowed her to enjoy in her bedroom.

UPDATING TEEN BEDROOMS - QUICK, EASY MAKEOVERS

This picture of a teen bedroom is the perfect inspiration for a sophisticated pre-teen room design with high heels and a fashionable color scheme of salmon pink, black and white. The modern black and white swirling, geometric design on the storage trunk at the foot of the twin bed ties into the print on the pillow shams, the painting on the back of the rocking chair and the fabric on the wall hanging. The stripes on the border of the quilt that's cleverly used as a funky, decorative wall hanging give wonderful balance to the solid pink comforter and the wild, abstract monochromatic black and white print.

This is one of my favorite teen bedrooms that I've seen lately and at the moment it's available at a discount!

Do you want to update your teen’s bedroom and don’t know where or how to begin the makeover with the amount of money you have on hand? You aren’t alone, we often want to refresh the look of our homes and update them with a fresh modern look and we aren’t sure how to begin. Who can afford to start from scratch?

Designing a bedroom for your teen or tween you love out using stuff you have on hand may be more challenging than starting over with all new furniture, but it’s also cheaper. It may be difficult to imagine your existing furniture being used in different ways, but believe me that this is the best way to update your look on a limited budget. Here are a few ideas that can get you started:

  • Start with one area of the room. Decide if the focus will be on the bed, the window treatments or floor coverings. Don’t defeat yourself with attempting to update all of your teen’s bedroom at once. Besides where will she sleep?

  • Have your teenage girl provide a picture. It would be difficult to to copy it without starting from scratch, but you can at least get an idea of what the ultimate goal might be. You might be amazed at the good taste and knowledge of what’s fashionable and stylish that your little girl inherited from you! Plus, looking at photos of completely decorated bedrooms can pull you out of a decorating rut and help you to understand what your daughter’s favorite decorating style may be when she is not able to convey her ideas to you in words.

  • Ask your teen what she most wants to change about her bedroom. What a new bedding set and matching curtains do the trick or test the entire set of bedroom furniture set her teeth on edge?

If a full makeover is more than you want to tackle you might get by with updating the bedroom decorations items that most offend your teenage girl’s sense of what’s trendy and stylish and leaving the rest. Above all, get rid of as much clutter as you can. Those stuffed toys that have sentimental value might be the very items that will condemn the entire bedroom makeover and decorating process to disaster. Buy lovely storage boxes to store them in and convince here that her plush friends will still be around whenever she wants to see them.

Once you have removed the clutter, assess the situation and simply replace the items your daughter pointed out to you. You can completely change the decor in teen bedrooms by replacing the:
  • Bedding and comforters
  • Area Rugs
  • Window treatments
  • Wall Decorations
  • Throw Pillows
  • The headboard of the bed. This will give the bed a whole new look and feel to go along with the rest of your teen bedroom makeover!

This is the quick and easy way to makeover teen girl's bedrooms without breaking the bank, but just to be on the safe side start researching teen bedroom paint ideas.

FRENCH BEDDING for TEEN GIRLS

I am often asked for French bedding which is in actuality, Paris apartment style bedding ideas, for preteen girls. When it comes to French style bedding, what could possibly be more Parisian than a chic Fleur de Lys design? There are various prints that will forever be associated with France like French toile bedding fabrics, but everybody doesn't like busy, formal print. Preteens are often against floral prints of any kind so what are we left with that will have a French feel? I would say that Eiffel Tower and Fleur de Lys motifs would be our best options.

Picture luxurious silk shams and comforters with this lovely traditional motif printed in any color or this might be your chance to jump into monochromatic black and white bedding.

Here's an idea for how to make any solid color bedding set into a funky, fabulous French bedding set at a very cheap price!

Here's how to make your own inexpensive girl's French theme bedding for your teen.

  • Pick up a solid color comforter or duvet cover. Pillow shams or a duvet cover will be easier to work with for a beginner. Unless you are an advanced stamper, you may not want to experiment on a solid white or an expensive piece of fabric.
  • Buy a large Fleur de Lys stamp and a small Fleur de Lys stamp
  • Get some black (or whatever coordinating color you want your motifs on your bedding to be) fabric paint

  • Spread your fabric on a smooth surface, make marks with a pencil to help you space your designs and stamp!

If you prefer, you can substitute Eiffel tower graphics for the Fleur de Lys to make your own Parisian Eiffel Tower print French bedding set.
When you finish, you will have a lovely, sophisticated set of bedding that will make you think of Paris each and every time you walk into the bedroom.

I once used this decorating idea on a pale pink duvet cover and sham set. I was able to give a a used comforter set a makeover and the results were stunning! We came up with a really cool set of pink and black bedding that you couldn't find in stores! I attached some black pom pom and fringe trim to a few accent pillows and arranged some pink French poodles with rhinestone collars on wall shelves to pull my poodles in Paris decor together. If you aren't a dog lover, exchange the poodle decorations for some Eiffel tower decorations or anything else that means "Paris" to you!

PINK POODLES PARIS STYLE TWEEN BEDROOM DESIGN

GO HERE FOR MORE!

Pink poodles Paris bedding will ease a little girl's transition from toddler to preteen bedroom design. Consider perky poodle dogs and Parisian scenery as a temporary stop off to prevent jumping into a style of decor that's too sophisticated for a tween girl and yet mature enough that allows hints of the stylish young lady that's about to blossom a stylish opportunity to make an appearance.

Appropriate bedroom decorating ideas for tweens can be a bit of a challenge. There is a fine line between the overly dramatic and a design that will meet your daughter's approval. She's not a baby anymore but still not ready for anything too worldly or wise if you catch my drift.

For that reason I highly recommend Parisian chic pink poodles as a motif. She gets the dramatic impact of black feathers and mom gets the softness of the color pink for a few more precious years. No matter what age you are decorating for, black is the perfect background for many pastels as it grounds them and keeps them from being cloying and sappy. I give decorative accessories in black credit for being able to slip in mom's preference of an almost floral color scheme on many of my decorating projects.

To accessorize your pink poodles bedding set, add black, wrought iron lamps in the shape of the Eiffel Tower and a black chandelier dripping with black crystal beads and mini-shades edged with feather trim. Seemingly unimportant, these subtle touches may be just the thing that prevents your young lady from kicking your pink poodles to the curb!

French poodles and parisian scenery are one of the best decorating styles for teen girls who are not ready for a more mature style of decor. Compromise is essential and the black and pink in pink poodles and Eiffel tower bedding sets will keep the innocence in our baby girl's bedroom for a few more years without sacrificing a fashionable look.

Young girls love the sparkling rhinestones on the dog collars, satin gloves and pictures of the Eiffel Tower decorating the walls and floor. The availability of Parisian wall decals is an added bonus that will be an invaluable resource for wall decorations. In short, it's possible to make pink poodles seem extremely sophisticated with very little effort on your part.
